unity

Unity, it’s up to the leaders

Psalms 133:1-Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Unity is vital to the health of the Body of Christ and to the proclamation of the gospel. I believe it starts from the head. You ever see little children fight on Monday and hold hands on Tuesday but the parents stay angry for years. I’ve seen that many times in the Body of Christ. Some leader says something or does something to injure another, sometimes forgiveness is suggested sometimes it’s not. As leaders we must set the example. No we’re not perfect but we should be mature.  Those that the Father has entrusted into our care are watching waiting to see how we respond to offense. Psalms 133:2-It is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard even Aaron’s beard that went down to the skirts of his garments. Unity is precious and it stats from the top. None of us are perfect but we should be amiable to reconciliation. I’m blessed when I see leaders, who have been friends for 20, thirty, 40 years I think it’s awesome I think it shows maturity. Psalms 133:3- As the dew of Hermon, and as thedew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. The passage says the Lord commanded the Blessing in that situation. You remember Matthew 18:19-Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. If we would just get on the same page as leaders if we would humble ourselves and admit we were wrong if we were it would be awesome. Mark 3:24-25 NIV-If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Eph 4:1-3 -I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

As leaders may we should make every effort to guard the unity we have with the glue of peace.

It’s God’s ball

1 Corinthians 3:5-7– Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase. This attitude should be majored by every Believer especially those of us called to the ministry. One plants one waters but ultimately God causes it to grow. We work together for a common cause. We help each other and support each other and it makes the heart of the Father God glad. It’s not my ball or yours its God’s. He anoints us with His anointing He equips us with His equipment. Philippians 2:13-For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. There’s no competition, no big me and little you. We all come from the same source. When you win I win if I lose you should come to my aid for we are members one of another. I cannot say I don’t need you and you cannot say you don’t need me if we do we tell a lie. There was a time we majored in our differences but the body of Christ is growing up. There are times when fighting among ourselves the enemy stood back and laugh. But no more, we are walking in love more now than ever we are forgiving and being long suffering to the glory of God. Now the enemy doesn’t know what to do with us for we remembered that god made us one.
